Breazeale vs Ugonoh HIGHLIGHTS: February 25, 2017 – PBC on FOX

Making his U.S. debut, Polish heavyweight prospect Izu Ugonoh faced a stiff test in 2012 U.S. Olympian Dominic Breazeale, who in his last fight had challenged Anthony Joshua for a heavyweight world title.

Ugonoh was tested very early, too. He was able to connect with some sharp body work in the opening rounds, but then got caught over the top while against the ropes in Round 3, hitting the canvas and being forced to recover.

It then looked like Ugonoh could end up taking control as he was able to floor Breazeale in the fourth round, but the former title challenger showed his heart in the fifth round, with both men running out of steam. Breazeale scored two knockdowns in a short window, with the second of those putting Ugonoh through the ropes and ending the fight.

Breazeale bounced back from his first career loss to improve to 18-1 (16 KO), while Ugonoh suffered his first pro defeat, falling to 17-1 (14 KO).
