When Boxers who are labeled out of their primes turn back the clock and put on one last hurrah . This is a remaster of a video I did 2 years back .

After seeing how fresh Donaire looked early against Burnett which was pretty shocking. He didnt wait alot, his punches looked much quicker , he was less flat footed, he relied more on his boxing ability than trying to load up on 1 shot like Ive seen for several years. He was actually looking like the The Flash I Remembered at Bantam back in the day. If he is still the same next spring , I have him beating Zolani Tete to go to the finals. Most likely going up against Inoue. Which is to me a mind boggling matchup since I never thought Donaire could even make bantam since moving up back in 2012. Since hes been gone I would say 1 era passed and died off forming the New we have right now.

The build up to Inoue Donaire is reminding me sort of the build up to Nishioka Donaire back in 2011-2012. Donaire is 36 years old same age Nishioka was when they had fought. After a 4 fight rivalry coming to a sad end with the Thai legend Veeraphol Sahaprom. Nishioka seemed to have lost a touch at the world class level. He would move up and mount an amazing career come back regaining the title, To make several successful title defenses. Then to cement his position in the division by defeating Mexican legend Rafael Marquez. By the end of 2011,Nishioka was ranked #1 at Super Bantamweight and by time the fight was about to be made Donaire was at #2. Like Nishioka Donaire had definitely seemed to lost his step and watching the fight with Frampton was a hard pill to swallow that his time was most likely up, but a change of a weight class and new inspiring challenges sparked a new light on their careers. Like I mentioned many months back , I was shocked how great Donaire looked at the weigh in his 1st fight back at Bantam. His speed was back , he looked less stiff ,he was really looking like the Donaire I remember from back in the day just a bit aged (obviously). Unfortunately Nishioka was able to turn back the clock one last time against Marquez and looked his age against Nonito. I'm hoping Donaire has one last good fight . If so this will def be an interesting match.
